Stainless brake and clutch lines

Hey lads, two questions:

1. do the brake lines come with spring clips or do they utilise the existing OEM ones ? I had problems when I replaced the pipes on my 230CE, the original clips didn't fit the Goodrich brake pipes.

2. does the clutch hose just delete the curly rigid pipe and keep the line that goes over the gearbox bellhouse ? I have already replaced my hydraulic line with one short pipe that goes directly from the clutch master to the clutch slave. The entire pipe is only 18 inches or so - about a 1/3rd of the original pipework. I just want to replace that section of pipe with a new one.

Ordered a spare clutch slave cylinder the other day(pedal is beginning to feel a little soft).....so I got one of these s/s clutch lines as well.

As you say Frank this replaces the curly line from slave to master cylinder.

Ah, I see, I had no problems reusing the original clips with these. Just pull out clip with vice grips, insert hose, push in clip, easy.

It replaces the curly pipe and the flexi pipe over the gearbox. So it runs from the slave cylinder up to the clip on the firewall. I'll get a pic of both ends and post it.

Cool - that's what I need.

Jeez... wish I patented the idea ! Been using this since I broke my clutch line at Sandymount a long time ago (I think there are pics of me and an AA truck somewhere). Got my clutch line made up from a Caterpiller hose company. Not as good as these braided lines, hence the wish to upgrade

Quick question - will those lines fit to after market callipers like Wilwood for example or each company has it own fittings?

I am asking because I might upgrade breaks one day and just wondering what would happen.

fitting day.
I don't mind hosting it, if people don't mind travelling to the midlands, ( and bringing some tools !)

hey all, sorry i have been lagging in the responses,

I have a full time job that requires quite a bit of travel, and i'm always on the move.... anyways enough about my problems...

to answer one of the questions above, this will work with any upgrade system that utilizes the stock lines, in other words if you upgrade to willowoods and they use the stock lines, then these lines should work.... (please note the should)

I have a box of 8 complete sets sitting in my house right now, that is 4 complete sets in clear and 4 complete sets in black.

None of you specified color, so as of now I will be shipping all in clear (of course when i get paid) unless you want black lines

also to save everyone on shipping, i will send one large shipment to steve, and he will distribute appropriately, as of now, i am still waiting to get the lines for the sport package brakes... (there were some concerns because i don't have a na with the sport brakes to measure the lines, i was only looking at the nb sport brakes installed on an NB... lol... and wasn't sure if fitment would be an issue with the transplant)

pictures will come later today when i get home, but i wanted to all give you the heads up.

as noted, you will get everything needed for installation.... edit: excluding the spring clips for the line on the bracket on the chassis, please refer to a post a few up from this one... lol....)

1. full set comes with
1. 2 front lines (with the appropiate fittings)
2. 2 rear lines (with the appropiate fittings)
3. 1 clutch line (with the appropiate fittings)
4. 8 crimp washers
5. 4 banjo bolts
6. 1 distribution blocks.
supplemental sets will have all the necessary equipment, i.e. if you order just the brakes, you won't be getting the clutchline, and vise versa if you ordered just the clutch line you will not be getting the brake lines and the supporting hardware...

this is designed to be a complete set with a complete installation with all new hardware (minus the two nuts used to hold the distribution block in place edit #2: again minus the spring clips mentioned above)

please check my earlier post in the forum with links to other forums with lots of pictures and discussions, including installed pics etc.

i highly recommend professional installation if you do not know the ass end of a screwdriver.

also please, for the love of god, if you have no idea what you are doing, then don't... it's more for your safety then mine...

we will honor any manufacturer defect, but will not honor any installation error, in other words, you need to send us the defective part for us to replace, this warranty is valid for 1 year from date of receipt...

in other words, i'm not an a-hole and very reasonable but i need to cover myself... lol...

and if you need replacement parts etc, we can get you what you need...
