![]() Re: Frankenstein boltsi got a pair of bolts from mx5 parts to day . when i went to fit them. there is no recievers. i thougth there would be captive nuts or something. i cant see any way of reaching the bolts to put a nut on any one any ideas need to get this sorted as im picking up a hard top this weekend i hope. john

I've a hard top on my car for past 3 years, without bolts. The four clips hold the top in place with no difficulty.

You'll need to replace the inner one with the new frankenstein bolt Like this : ![]()
![]() Re: Frankenstein boltsthere are philips head bolts in the rear holes but nothing in the front i put rubber grommets in to stop leaking
Re: Frankenstein boltsah I see, hmm, I had helicoil inserts put into a cylinder head last year by an engineering shop for small $$.
