Dropped the top! (in february!)

Postby Amri » Sun, 20 Feb 2011 5:19 +0000

First top-down experience of 2011! It was worth waiting for :)

It's such a great feeling to have the (admittedly very weak) sun on your back while you're driving, and yesterday morning was a such a beautiful day, it would have been sacrilegious to leave the top up.

Roll on summer I say!!! 8)

Hi Amri,

A few of us are heading to Oranmore friday 11th March, meeting for drinks friday evening. Staying in B&B in Oranmore. Saturday morning meet in Oranmore and head West for overnight in stay in Clifden. Sunday spin as well and head home sunday afternoon.

Galway run is always a good one and we hope to have 10 cars all being well. Im sure some of the other girls in the club will be there if you need some moral support..  . Tag along if you are free even for some of the weekend.?

Regards John.

Sounds like a great trip! Unfortunately it doesn't suit me that weekend though, boo! If I was able to make it, it'd only be for one night too which could be a bit on the far side me thinks (since i'm based in Dublin)

If there is another upcoming run (maybe a Wicklow run sometime soon?) I'll definately be along to that one. Looking forward to putting faces to the names 8)

Hi Amri

Lovely to have a fellow 'fiver' to play with in Dublin. I'll be going to Galway - but I'm sure we'll arrange something closer to home ASAP. Frank, you listening?
Climbed Elbrus, Island Peak, Kilimanjaro, Elgon, Everest BC, Mulhacen, Elgon, Kayaked the Liffey to the Nile, swam the Liffey, the Lee & packed ten triathlons into a year... catch me blogging on: http://www.teenagates.com

Hi girlies!!

Amri - Galway's only 2.5 hours now with the roads. I'm heading down on Saturday morning from Dublin and would be delighted to escort you if you can make it!

TeenaG why do we need Frank to plan the trip .. c'mon girlie, you know the hills and mountains better than anyone here .. what about a trip up to Avoca some sunny afternoon for lunch! Or we could do Glendelough, not sure of the name of it, but there's a gorgeous pub there we could hook up in for a bit or 2!

Only prob for me is getting a weekend .. time for the flash mobs again methinks!

S

PS Amri - you are welcome to our happy gang!

I think Teena is remembering your wrong turn in Wicklow there last year, Shena ! Snap...

BTW was in Glendalough the weekend before last, roof down, 14 degree C, sunshine. It's a always a good place to visit - country roads via Enniskerry or coast roads via Greystones, etc. On the way back, took the R756 to Blessington over the hills - btu turned right onto "Knockalt Upper" to Ballyknockan, Kilbride and Threecastles (you've seen the pics on Facebook). Nice little route. Just following the sun really - depending on the satnav at the end to bring me back towards the N7.

We could do something like that some weekend.

Shenab and teena thanks so much for the warm welcome! :)

Unfortunately I'll have to be realistic and due to other commitments, have to bow out gracefully from the Galway weekend. I hope you get dry weather and sun and get to 'air out' those cars :D

A trip however around wicklow and the coast sounds fantastic, I'm definately on for that some sunny Sunday morning?! Anyone have any dates in mind?
