Thanks!
Here is the video from the tunnel: It's not too good, it was originally very shaky, but at least it made me play with the video editing software..

Yup, and they'll do me fine until I can find a decent set of oem BBS 14's which I've settled on as my next purchase. Rare, so I might be waiting a while. For the record, the steel rims are Nico's!!!! And he has replacements! Mine are the early 90's jap jobbies with no center hubs.

Rys, great photos...I look like a gimp in my Munster cap! Love the idea of a tech day. Can't say I'd be able to bring a whole lot to the party though. I'd like to get the 14 degree advance mod done. Nico, you have the gear it seems? Pity we didn't do the run last night as the weather was much better.

Brendon: Yes, I can help with this, it takes a few minutes. It's also a good opportunity to replace the cam sensor O-ring as they tend to leak oil on the gearbox housing (It costs ~£1 and can kill your clutch with time). On a tech night, or in Rochestown etc..

If you like the BBS look and can't find them, it might be worth looking for a set of BBS OEM wheels from a BMW e30 would perhaps be easier to source and cheaper, and has similar fitment..

Thanks guys that's great to know. Would love to do it soon. The thing about my five that's annoying me the most is the damn clutch/flywheel chatter/rattle on the overrun. Depress the clutch and it disappears. Rhys, you reckon it's a spigot on the flywheel? I'd like one of you to take mine for a spin and give me your opinion as to what it is.

Think I'm going to remove the dash and repaint it too. Feel just about confident to do that myself...going to follow this for comfort.

hi turismo,it was your wheels i was giggling at  . thats good you have plans to get them gone.

hmmmm iwounder where you would get 14' and 15' bbs wheels,i know my shed  ,have 2 sets of 14' and 1 set of 15's 8) .

met your dad there last, weekend he was saying your kn not fitting due to strut brace, you should have taken my advice and bought my apexi,as i mentioned it had a alloy casting to get it past or out of the way of the bar. ah well.

il have a think about my bbs.

look forward to your next run and pictures, sure i mite go on it and show you all how its done :P

I'm kinda picky jay. They have to be correct. Ie Mazda oem bbs. And I don't feel like paying daft money for them either seeing as I'll be most likely getting them refurbed. As for the wheels on mine, I think a set of mk2 alloys would look just as silly so I'm taking my time. The tyres on them are 70% so I'm not in any rush. Rhys reckons they're some rare jap alloys (minus the centre caps unfortunately), pity the look like puke.

I'll be taking the brace off as I gather it makes sod all difference. It's not a prob.

So do have a think about the bbs, can't imagine what you need three sets for.

.

hi turismo, sold the mk2 wheels to a nice chap in celbridge tonite, met him at the spawell templouge,he putting them on a silver mk1.

they looked great on the green 1 your dad bought 8) .

only pulling your leg about your cooky cutters.

my bbs are nice, mint 15's, mazda bbs wheels with toyo tyres, centre caps the lot, would probably show up your rosslare paint job

the 14',again 1 pair is mint mazda bbs again, caps with yokohama a512's nice combination.

the other 14' ruff as a badgers bum,but round and no buckles, have track day intermedits on them.

brace does make the differance, but if your a sunday driver you wouldnt know the differance.

ive 10 sets of spare wheels,bbs/panasports/wannatnabs/'daisys/lenzos/etc.

ive got 9 mx5's,so got to keep them all happy with bits  looking at another blue 1 2morro.

we better stop using up this space, its your sunday drivinging post, sorry tue nite driving post..

il have a think about the bbs....... watch this space
