I asked about doing 4 or 5 pairs and he said that he was going to use offcuts of steel to make mine and if he did a batch job it would cost more to use a new sheet of stainless.
If your near Tralee and you want a set I'm sure he'll do them for the €100. I know the last batch steve got were €60 but steel has gone up a lot in the last while.

yep, but the price of s/steel has gone waay up, so, they are now 95e a pair.

With that in mind, can those on the list reconfirm they are still interested and we'll go from there?

Sorry lads, I'm out for this one. After thinking about it, 100€ is a bit too much for me. I was OK for 60€ + a slight increase to cover any increment in materials, but 35€ extra is a bit steep for my liking.
Stock market prices seem to go up and down alright, but from what I could see price for stainless seem to have decreased since a massive spike in 2007. Don't quote me on this I wasn't able to find a proper chart from 2007 until now. But when I'm buying 304 or 316 dairy pipe and bends for making exhausts bits and boost pipes, I never noticed a big difference over the last 3 years on prices, but once again don't quote me on it as I didn't pay attention that much.
Manufacturers for frames rails like JASS Performance or Performance5 don't look like they had to raise their prices over the years either, and even if they cost a bit more, they have a bit more time spent on the laser cutting machine to make cutouts etc.

Nearly 3 months passed, so I presumed this was a no-go. I put my name down for the P5 rails and would prefer to go for them. Sorry!
