Hornless and Hopeless

Postby RubyTuesday » Thu, 03 Oct 2013 8:29 +0000

Hi There,

Had a scary moment on a slip road when my steering wheel wouldn't turn. I had to force it and immediately afterwards my horn stopped working.

The part I am looking for is a steering sensor for the horn with the switches included.

Anyone have one or know where to get one?

Please contact me at mx5drivertraining@hotmail.com or 085/7854348

Hope to hear from you

Steering wheel wouldn't turn?? would the clockspring breaking temporarily cause this I wonder?? Anyone?? Doesn't sound like the steering lock applied.....

I would expect that Robert ( autocheck) will have an answer for you

Well I dont see why the clockspring should have got stuck as such but when people move the steering wheel to a different position ( remove and refit only) the clockspring needs to be turned accordingly .Possible lock problem but obviously she is hornless now so I might be able to give her the horn back !!
