Mx5 alarm comes standard?

Hey all. I bought a mk1 black mx5 last summer and it came with an alarm.. the thing is it was a dodgey ol system that only opened the passengers door and one fob packed up soon after. Luckily i had a second fob and i was able to disable the alarm as it was stopping the car from starting and as expected the 2nd one has now packed up....
So, what im wondering is did they come standard with and alarm?? And can i whip it out alltogether and work away without one and install a propper one later??
Also has anyone got a recommendation on a good alarm.....

Not standard must be aftermarket. Cobra alarm are very good .I have a contact for supply and fit if you want to call me 086 8226506

Yea i thought so. installation was a pure state, fired in under the dash. Really ill hafta look them up. thanks for that.
