diff mounts /removal

Hello all,
I've taken out my rear subframe and diff . The diff seems loose in its rubber mounts so im thinking of changing them out .
I've a few questions 1 how hard a job is it to take these out without a press
2 how is this done !
3 witch mounts to use I've seen il motorsport or oem ones ,I am not looking for more noise/vibration into the car but am as always keen on better handling !
I'd be interested in hearing from people how have done such a job .

Hi Brian ,s car came in years ago and it had 4 aluminium plates ,proper dished types,two were thin and two were thicker over and under the bushes. Still have them but never really figured what support to diff mountings they gave .Any ideas ,you can have them FOC if there any use for what you want

have heard of people using void fillers and getting good results. I suspect the ones autocheck have are probably alu versions of them?

I picked up 2 sets of flo flex poly diff bushes. Have only fitted them to the drift car yet will do the road car in the next few weeks but seemed to work perfect on the drift car as the bushes that were in it were fucked. I know alot of ppl dont like flo flex but i couldnt pass them by when only €30 a set.

How will this aid handling? It will stop axle tramp alright but handling?

Don't know but they were fitted to the blue one we scrapped from Mayo and it had loads of mods on it but I don't really see why they would help unless to stiffen movement of diff??

My main cause for concern was the fact that the diff mounting captive bolt on the subframe is smaller than the inside dia of the diff bush sleave [not for the first time I,ve had this problem!!!!]
The bolt is not worn as it still has paint on it ,I was wondering if the those sleaves are prone to wear .
As for the handiling what i think i mean is that i dont want lots of noise,vibration,harshness coming into the car if i cdange to stiffer mounting bushes .

Looking at the net, the aluminium bushes we have seem to replace the original rubber out of the bracket itself

Thanks Sideways I thought that might be the case .
Ive sent fm in America an email about their stiffer mounts and they said the same, so that's that .
As I said my main concern was the fact that the mounting bush inner sleave diameter is smaller than the bolt in the subframe , the rubber is not new but dos'nt look to bad but then Im no expert .

Brian ,once nuts are tight there should be no problem as it was built like that. What the difference in sizes of holes/bolts .You could put sleeve in but you will find its minimal
