Emissions testing

Does anybody know a garage that would be prepared to do emissions testing on older cars (1986 Austin Mini). A mate is trying to get his done and tuned to NCT levels but all garages keep saying they don't do older cars.

I'm guessing there are enthusiasts out there that would do the work but it's finding them that is the problem. If anyone has any ideas I'd be most grateful

I thought older cars were exempt.
