I just love cars with high miles, always have and don't know why. The company I work for are clocking up some indecent miles in their 'yellow fleet' and Skoda are currently looking for the Skoda with the highest miles in Ireland as a promotion their are doing. They have an '02 Octavia with well over 500,000 miles on the clock on their press fleet. My own daily turned 170,000 miles on Saturday and I will be disappointed if I don't see 200,000 on her before I think of changing. As for the '5, less that 10,000 miles in the last three years, I'll be a long time waiting to see big miles on her. paulc.

You don't need to do anything for low mileage car just buy it. It annoys me sometimes when people buy or judge the car by its mileage. They think the lower the number the better the car. I'm out too..new engine..

I think that its more than just the engine that counts when it comes to mileage. The car still has the mileage done new engine or not!

(I am biased though :P)

I agree with you..it's just it makes it a little bit more special :-).. mine had jap transplant..couldn't say it's original anymore. But as you say when it comes to high mileage everything counts!
