Bit of a thread hijack so sorry about this but i had same issues last summer when my so called legal experts delayed so long that the deal fell through. Bstards still charged me for their "services" though and they never even spelled my name correctly (not even once!). At the time i wanted to baseball bat the lazy arse feckers ( I had their address!!!!) but now, given the housing market downturn (similar properties are now advertised 10% lower and i reckon would sell for 15-20% lower with haggling), i want to kiss them, maybe a little dinner and then who knows....... So sometimes the lazy incompetent gits can be beneficial.

BTW, I can strongly NOT recommend my solicitor from then. They truly were the most incompetent a"sewipes i have ever dealt with on any matter. So if you want to know who they are in Dublin then pm me.

cheers
olly (eile)

.........................off the beaten track

bought a house a few years when the market was slow.......didnt like my solicitors.

sold that house last year just before the big wobblies set in and had all out war with the patronising twats (solicitors no.2)

now on to solicitors no.3 and I got more done in one phonecall than she did in three months.

Can I safely presume there is NO Mx5-driving-solicitors in Ireland as they wouldn't know what fun was if it sent them a legal letter (and bit them on their pompous asses).

................................and exhale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is good therapy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just in case anyone is concerned no solicitors were harmed in the making of this comment.

Back on thread. What are people's plans as regards travelling down.

Anyone thinking of travelling saturday morning from the Dublin/kildare/wickla region?

Should take no more than a couple of hours according to Ashley

Yeah i will be there but hopefully in the mx5 again, i can bring some diffs if you like, The vectra is being traded in against the corolla.

Will definitely attend the Saturday phase, haven't yet decided whether I'll travel on Sat Morning or Fri Night. If Travelling Sat Morning, I'll arrange to meet you guys at That Petrol station on the N9 , the texaco one where we stoppped on the Kildare/Wicklow run :D
(I'm assuming you would be heading that route??)
