Water lodged in chassis??

Postby bernieb » Sun, 17 Aug 2014 10:50 +0000

Hi guys...first posting here. I have just gotten my 1992 mx back on the road after being left up for a few years. All running well, except I seem to have a couple of gallons of water lodged underneath in the chassis..door...boot?? Dont know exactly. But it sloshes about and I have no idea where it comes from or how to get rid of it.

Any ideas

Bernie

Common enough ,firstly there are 2 drain holes near each sill corner/end.Bsically near where you put the car jack if jacking up.You will see 2 dimples at each point and just inside there are 2 pin holes for draining the sills. Also there are two drain holes for the roof ,inside the car, just behind the seat belt top mounting point.Give me a call if your not sure 086 8226506, Robert

Bernie, if you don't have them drained by the next "cars and coffee", pop down and I'll do them for you.
