You did very well at that event Andrew.. Not everyone gets on well their first time at mixing the Mondello track (with chicanes) with the Rallycross sections.. Not sure a turbo will be as easy to bypass, but it will be interesting to see the results at a normal trackday..

Thanks piers, still a long way behind you. Yeah, the turbo might be a bit harder to bypass. All the more reason to stay supercharged.
Thanks for the pic, I gave up trying to link it using the iPad.

Nct time again. Failed on 4 items. One was high level brake light that was painted over. It passed like this for past 5 years. Another was driver seat didn't slide back and forward, so Jb fab mounts no good here. I'll have to put back in the original sliders.

Wow, That's nonsense about the seat needing to slide. How can that be a safety issue...

Exactly what I was thinking but it's in the regs for the test. I wasn't going to argue as they also spotted met cam cover has 1.8 written on it and advised me to rub it off because it's taxed as a 1.6!

The seats are out of mine at the moment if you want to borrow them for the retest . What were the other failures??

They must have added that one to the rule book to ensure that their tubby testers can fit into all the cars..

Ha, probably. But it wouldn't make any difference as it was all the way back anyway.

Thanks John, I have another on rails and put it in today. Other fails were tyres too old (I borrowed a pair from a friend as my thread depth wasn't deep enough. Never looked at the year on them.

Quick update. Tried out the Nankang ar1's yesterday on track with ds2500 pads in front. Tyres are really good, pads not nearly as good as rc6 as needed more pedal pressure to stop and got brake judder at end of day. Be interesting to see how long both last.
Supercharger snout seal went too but lasted the day. New belt went on before track day.

Got it under sealed a few weeks ago and got the vinyl wrap repaired where it deteriorated. Pics to follow.

Did a short track day on New Year's Eve. All good, no issues. Tyres lasting well. Did a oil filter change last week.
Still thinking of switching to a turbo, my mates in the lotus's are getting away from me recently with their Honda engines and supercharged vx220's!
I think a turbo would be quicker but maybe not a drivable or fun, especially in the wet. Suppose I need to get in a well sorted one.
