R2 Limited value

Postby Duracel » Wed, 12 Apr 2017 2:26 +0000

Hi,

I am thinking about selling my 1997 R2 Limited (white with red leather) and was wondering would anyone know what is an appropriate value. I imported it directly from Japan about 5 years ago. It has a new hood, seats recovered in new leather to match the originals, new shocks, springs, bump stops, timing belt, water-pump, brand new tyres, refurbished alloys etc. It is stored in a heated garage but does not get enough use. Further information on this particular model can be found in the following link http://www.roadster.blog/2016/01/eunos-roadster-r2-limited.html

Thanks
Duracel

Hi there this is just my thoughts on your question, if I had your R2 Limited I would be asking some of the guys on Nutz about the value of the car, then advertise it on the UK websites. I don't think you will get it's real value in Ireland, I could be wrong though.

I have an RS limited MK1 and these are making 7 to 10k in England for a good one, I wouldn't get anywhere near that money in Ireland.

I would send this guy a PM on Nutz and ask him for his opinion, his user name is: 'Garage Madaboutmx5s'.

He has a great knowledge on these cars and I am sure he would help you out.

What part of Ireland are you in Duracel?

Hope this helps.

Hi gasha,

Thanks for the reply, I will try on Nutz. I spent a long time looking for the car when I bought it as there were many others that had lots of mods and I wanted one as original as possible. Ive no doubt these special edition cars including your RS will increase in value in the years ahead and would be a good investment for someone. I previously imported another very rare car from Japan (Hand built Lightweight Subaru) and sold it on before I bought the R2 and in the last 6 years the value of that car has increased by approx 300% if you can find one for sale in Japan or anywhere for that matter.

All the best.

Hi Duracel I spotted this R Limited on E Bay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mazda-Eunos-M ... 2938552856

I know it's not a R2 Limited but this will give you a rough guide.

Have you sold yours yet?

Regards

GASHA.

As Gasha pointed out, it may well make more money in the UK as I've seen some specialists sellers over there selling NA's (Mk1's) for
really strong money. In fact the vendor in the eBay link, Goodwood Sports Cars, is the specialist I was thinking of. However, the market
is completely different in Ireland and so it won't make nowhere near the same figures.
