Bon voyage and safe driving. The MGB in front looks small in comparison !!

Safe driving.... sounds like a great trip lies ahead of you.

and yes, considering the MX5 is a "small" 2 seater, it looks positively chunky beside the MGs.

6/7/17 Euro Tunnel
Breakfast in England, Lunch in Belgium, dinner in Germany.
Weather hot but rainy early on, hood up AC on. The last 100 miles hood down and temperature peaked at 37 late afternoon.
MX5 count so far 1 RF, but I have dissallowed that one because if was on the back of a transporter, off to a showroom I suppose.

Easier more relaxing drive yesterday. Through the forests of Germany. Numerous tunnels and vast viaduct bridges. Spoilt a little with the normal hold ups with road works/accidents. Google run times out of the window, glad I had allowed more time for each day. Spent the night near the Austrian border looking out to the mountains where I head today.
MX5 count yesterday 5.

Today I drove into a tunnel in Germany, and came out the other side in Austria. Road closures meant I got to spend 15 minutes in Switzerland which was an added bonus. Brilliant day driving ending up in a hotel in a room with a view to die for.
Today's MX5 count = 3 with 2 waves.

Looks like a nice trip. Thanks for posting and making us all jealous.

If you are coming back via the Black Forest and the B500, Pension Williams is a nice place to stay in Seebach. Nice balcony view and not too expensive either.

Today it's Italy. I have auditioned to be the next Hamster on Top Gear by driving the Stelvio Pass. They didn't close it as they did for Clarcson & co though. Considering I'm terrified of heights I did myself proud. He'll your only 70 once.

Having trouble with the hotel internet tonight, trying to load umpteen photos of the Stelvio Pass.
Tomorrow I head down to Lake Garda and meet up with the Tyrone outlaws who are flying in from Dublin. The car will be parked up for 7 days. A wee drink may possibly be taken.
