That Fintail sounded gorgeous. The sound from the 5 cylinder Quattro's still gives me the shivers !!

Those cars really shift off the line. Quite fancied a Talbot (Chrysler?) Sunbeam back in the day (I had a 1.8 Avenger GL and loved it.... til it rusted apart). The Rallye Citroen DS just seemed to be plodding round on standard squidgy suspension (and the Alfa seemed to be reigning itself in a bit too..... no doubt because the driver knew how much a repair would cost).

I think I knew someone that had a red Talbot Sunbeam that had an Avenger engine fitted if I'm not mistaken. It's so long ago now I can't be 100% sure.
Those Citroen DS have really grown on me as I get older - such a quirky and distinct looking car. It looks like they have appreciated in value a fair but too.
