Hi guys I'm just gauging interest, my friend Ian who some of ye probably know was telling me to organise a tech day. would anyone be willing to come out for a few hours over the next few weeks, for those of you that don't know, I'm restoring an na mariner blue (build thread in projects) and I'd love to have it ready for kirkistown on the 18th of August because I had literally spotted the car next door to my mates house the day before, so that's the show to have it ready for. It's due back from painting in 2 weeks, and I can't afford to pay ye guys but anyone that would be willing will be fed and I have a nice mx5 printout from practical classics that I can give ye I live near Mountbellew in Galway and whatever happens, the support I've gotten on the forum from everyone has been fantastic so thanks a million for that. Anyway here's a few before and current pictures Sent from my ONE A2003 using Tapatalk

I've never attended one before, but from what I've seen on this forum, and others, my understanding is that you turn up and offer your time and skills (or most likely in my case, were I to show up, just some general help/muscle!), and it's also a good way to learn from others. My assumption is we're helping put back together the car in the photos above.
If you can post a date that would help, and if I'm available, I'd love to come give a hand (late July (after 25th)/early August would suit me best.... not that this should influence you too much - as above I'll probably be there in more of a "gopher" capacity!!!).

You'd need a fair few tools to go round.

I'd love to come and lend a hand if I can but for me it'll be very much a case of seeing what the date(s) is and whether I can make it. Fingers crossed though!

Cheers guys, ya it would be great to get a few guys to help put it back together
it'll be late July/early August I'm hoping to get the shell back from paint in the next week or two so when I get that, and the engine back together it'll be full steam ahead,
I also have all the necessary tools, spanners, socket sets and hammers

What a great idea!! Will have a serious look at this when the date is posted..subject to work restrictions etc., It's been too long since I've been over Galway direction..

I'm getting the car back this weekend, would any of us be free on Saturday the 11th? I'm taking next week off so I should get a fair bit done ahead of the tech day.
There's no hassle either way whether ye can make it or not, I'm 5 mins outside Mountbellew co. Galway and ye will be fed for the day

Got it, I'm going to skip as you're just too far away at 2:30hrs. I've to go to Waterford next week and Dublin the week after so I'm keeping the traveling down for now also. Sorry lad, I'd be looking forward to it if you were an hour closer.
