Looking for NC 2.0 SportGood Morning all, I was just wondering if You would share Your opinion. I am looking for an NC with the 2.0 engine, 6 speed and LSD. Went to look at one that looked promissing in the ad. It is a nice car on the upper part part underneath isn't that great. To My surprise it is not the actual body that looks badly corroded but all the suspension elements. The multilink control arms, stabilisers, rods etc. To top it Clutch feels like "sticking" when releasing. So I left the car there to have an other tought and told the seller I'll get back by mid next week. What do You think about the car? https://www.usedcarsni.com/2008-Mazda-M ... -276182221
Re: Looking for NC 2.0 SportHi, car looks good but it's easy enough to polish a car, as you said the body looks great but the chassis components are a bit rusty, that rust is very common to mx5's no matter what age it is. The main points to look for are the front chassis legs and the rear arches, I wonder if the sticky clutch is a sign of the car not being used for a long time. Another thing to think about is that you're too late in the year to get through the vrt etc so from January you'll be liable for vat as well as the €1300 or so vrt.
If its the NC that you want there is a couple on done deal that you might be interested in
Re: Looking for NC 2.0 SportI've seen your post on Facebook, your lucky that there are other sellers than trying to deal with someone like him. Good luck in your search for your mx5
Re: Looking for NC 2.0 SportThere is a 2007 one on Adverts for what looks like a reasonable price
Re: Looking for NC 2.0 SportThx, pops. I don't have much luck with this hunt. I had an other one up in the North. Organised everything for looking at it Today and trailer back home. Got a txt Yesterday evening to say it was sold. NC 2.0 6speed seems to be like hen's teeth
