MK1 MX5's wanted for filming

Postby Steve » Fri, 11 Feb 2022 1:30 +0000

howdy,

I've been contacted by someone from ITV's car years (presented by Vicky Butler Henderson and Alex Riley )and they are looking for standard MK1 MX5's to get involved.

They are filming across Ireland in March and are looking for an early Mk1 MX5 in as close to original condition as possible.
"If you know of a suitable car or have any members that would like to take part in a series, it would be great to hear from you, and I can give you some more details about the series."

Anyone have something suitable?

I would have been interested but too many insurance issues. On another note, can't wait for January for €56 Road tax then I won't have to keep declaring it off road

I hadn't thought of insurance as a factor - but I can see how it could be. (I thought if a company were using (hiring?) your car that their insurance would cover it?).

And €56 a year will make tax see like a real steal!!! (Tho with the cost of petrol continuing to rocket, will we be able to afford to drive!

That's what I was thinking, thought they'd have to break out big sticks to beat them off. Insurance nailed it here tho unfortunately.
