Re: Getting back on the roadOut for another spin today, yesterday I put fuel in from Top oil,,,, have to edit the post here,,, i was pretty sure it was TOP but on the receipt it says EMO so I'll have to check again the next time i pass there,,,,, car doesn't run as well as it did on topaz/circleK. A 360° view of one location, fabulous views of Galway bay in one direction and unfortunately in the other direction connemara's newest attractions, I suppose in time we'll just get used to them A green mx5 passed just as i pulled up at the junction in Moycullen but couldn't get much of a look at it as by the time I got out onto the main road there were about 10 cars between us, was it anyone on here I wonder Sent from my ELE-L09 using Tapatalk Last edited by Pops on Tue, 12 Jul 2022 12:23 +0000, edited 1 time in total.

Re: Getting back on the roadWent to the shrule vintage show today, very nice red 92 there, was a project of John Paul Ryan's if I remember the name correctly, unfortunately no pictures taken because I left the phone at home, but it was done to a very high standard. Put in half a tank of circleK and the car is back running sweetly now, must avoid using Top,, (edited again) or EMO,,,, anymore
Re: Getting back on the roadAnother trip today, this time I travelled through the inagh valley, road is a bit rough in places but still a fantastic drive as long as you avoid all the sheep on the road. This time I came back through the maam valley, big difference driving in the other direction. The poor fuel i got last time was Emo and not Top, i had to check as i passed the station on my way Sent from my ELE-L09 using Tapatalk
Re: Getting back on the roadYou're getting in some nice runs in the car - I've been out n about in Stripey making the most of the days when it doesn't rain, however we don't have that xcenery here in the Midlands! Just out of interest, and I thought it was just a weird notion that I had, but I've also noticed that the car runs better on Circle K fuel (and gets better mpg). ..... and I'm not in any way affiliated to the Circle K foundation!!!
Re: Getting back on the roadHi mrges, ya I usually use circleK with good results, there was a big difference in the way the car ran and the mpg was much poorer on the EMO fuel so I let it down to almost empty before I put in circle K, a few miles later and it was back to normal
Re: Getting back on the roadOn the 2nd week of holiday in Tenerife, so far I've seen a 2017 model mx5 last week and tonight a mk2 ish parked across the road from the villa, no great selection of cars here, 1 hummer, 1 lamborghini of some sort, a few sporty renaults etc and i think a camero and Land rover. Probably in the poorer area of the resort Sent from my ELE-L09 using Tapatalk
Re: Getting back on the roadOn the way back from the pub i had a better look at the yank car, badge on the back says dodge, so its probably a challenger and not acamero
Re: Getting back on the roadA beast of a machine! I'm currently in Alicante airport after a week in Spain, and only spotted one MX5!
Re: Getting back on the roadHi mrges, I'd say mazda lost out to the fiat 124 on the continent, what i did see a good few of was the vw tiago convertibles
