Cost of exhaust repair

Hi, I hope I have posted this query in the right area. My 2007 MX5 has recently developed a noisy exhaust (louder by the day) and a local garage said it needs a new "box"(?). Just wondering what kind of cost I'm looking at for a replacement to be fitted? Would appreciate any advice anyone can give. Many thanks.

Hi, there are some full systems from centre to rear on eBay for around €200 with delivery, shouldn't take more than one hours labour to fit.
Try going to a exhaust and tyre centre they might have a universal box that can be welded in
