Had a call from Mazda a couple of weeks ago... they're lookin to do something with us which will benefit both parties.. a couple of their PR/Sales guys will be turning up for the midlands run to have a chat with us Asked him about the Eunos Roadster issue, he said there'll be none, Mazda are under new owners here now Said he'd be interested to hear any ideas, I mentioned sponsership for events + track days, he then mentioned their affiliation with Mondello (now that could be good!).
So, put yizer thinkin' caps on and throw out some ideas to put to them.

This is good - Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm - I've had my thinking cap on A 24 hour endurance race in MX5's @ Mondello for charity would be good for both parties........and i know a few good broadcast media outlets that would be up for it

Its about the fact that previously mazda had been in conntact years aso but had said something about not wanting to be involving the jap imports (eunos roadster) Which would exclude most of the members.

This is potentially great news, so long as no one else sets up an "official" mx5 club in Ireland.
Got to suggest to them the previously discussed idea about a national get - together to mark the 20th anniversary, and bloody thrilled that the Eunos is looking likely not to be excluded..(Principally because mine is a Eunos too)
 HAPPY DAYS John

There may be issues with planning for such an event..I understand that currently mondello are not permitted to race cars before and after certain daylight hours, but it has been done before with citroen 2cv's...I've attended part of one of those meets in the past. Also we would be required to have racing roll cages fitted among other things.

 This is great news.
Stephen, Cloggy works for a crowd that can hook us up. Hence all the chat about logos etc ..

What about my chrome badges ????

Is there anyway we can protect against that without going over the top with subs etc .. ?
