Right so,
Final Details for the Midlands run - We are meeting @ Midway Foodcourt Carpark, The Comfort Hotel, Portlaoise. Just off the motorway. To be exact - Comfort Inn Portlaoise Togher Roundabout, Midway, Portlaoise +53° 0' 57.38", -7° 18' 6.95" co-ordinates with thanks to Mx5Steve! We meet @ 10.30am, leave @ 10.45am - There is full Tea, Coffee and sausage sambo food and toilet facilities here! From there we will head to Stradbally, up to the hill to Carlow for photo in the woods carpark. From there, back in portlaoise on the backroads-ish, and into Ballyfin. Then, we head for the ridge of kippard..........up the blooms. Then, we come back down and head up the cut and accross the Slieve blooms. Then, after a tyre kick and a photo-op, we'll head for kinnity castle for Lunch, tyre-kick, and photo's. From there, we'll head for Dromineer @ lough Derg- I will finalise the route tomorrow. From there is will be easy for members to get home to Limerick, Galway and easy to get to main routes for dublin, cork etc. A few points - make sure your mobile phone is fully charged up. Keep an eye on your rearview mirror, if the person behind you disappears.... slow down/stop until they reappear (especially at junctions!), this will avoid splinter groups getting lost. Arrive with a FULL tank of petrol Get someone else who knows the route to drive at the back of the group to collect stragglers (have their number on speed dial). (Thanks Steve Rigley for these pointers) My Mobile is ON = pm me for my no TODAY- feel free to call at any time. If you are coming down saturday evening for grub/pints/the craic, call me or txt....no pms as i'll be away from my laptop. Looking forward to it. ![]() Ollie. ![]()

![]() Yeah - agree; 15 minute window from assembly to departure doesn't leave much flexibility considering the geographic diversity of participants & the possibility of the odd puff of blue smoke en-route
