Clutch kit?hey ya'll, can someone help me with this... I got a release bearing recently from MX5 parts as my one is starting to grind... am thinking, might as well change the whole clutch thing.... now my question is, do I need to get all parts? release bearing (I have), Clutch disc, Clutch cover plate & release fork? or can I get away with just a new release bearing & clutch disc...

Ím no expert her, but if you are going to all that bother then change as many parts as you can within budget etc.,

![]() hmmm, the question still remains! what exactly does a clutch kit contain & which are the most important parts? eg, is it really necessary to replace the Clutch cover for example?
As said i would say for the money change it whilst its out. I think the haynes says if any of the fingers on the cover plate are bent or worn then it should be replaced. This would suggest that they do wear out and it would be a balls to pull it all out to find it needs doing and you don't have one.
