lf you had a mildly soggy driver's side footwell post-precipitation, what would you be checking? Not sure if it's relevant but mine has a bit of corrosion at each end of the shiny sill decoration. . .

I got this last week,

the carpet behind the back of my seat was wet aswell. I put it down to the drain holes, seems to have dried out since clearing out these..

JPW, open the bonnet and look in the area behind the firewall (where the windscreen wipers are), theres a spot weld that failed just above the drivers right foot in here... dab of silicone will fix it.
If not that, it might be blocked drain holes on the sills...

Corrosion between the shiny sills and the bodywork is a common problem with 5's - somekind of clash between both metals i think - only cure is to remove, sand and repaint i think

Quick glance during one of yesterday's downpours revealed a few drips coming from the inside of the door card. A) I guess the plastic sheet in there may not be stuck all the way round. B) Is there a drain hole in the door itself? Guess there probably is.

Thanks for the suggestions people.
