Jez Ivan whats gotten in to ye boy - Nurenburg, Wales - anyone would think you like driving !!
There must be great business in those snowballs

Seriously though, there are some fab roads in Wales, but I believe they've covered them in speed cameras in recent years - Scotland might be a better bet !!

...do UK speed cameras pose a problem, pray tell? I've always assumed they don't apply to Irish cars...

Re the Wales run, the best might be to get the Fri night or Sat morning HSS to Holyhead, run around Snowdonia, then overnight in mid-Wales then get the 3pm Sunday sailing from Pembroke to Rosslare. It docks at 7pm. We might get lunch out of my parents too!

I fancy the sailings will be cheaper in April than in Sept. The ferry companies do make special offers at short notice in the shoulder season but IMHO they don't offer huge savings.

Simon from Wales.

Hey Lynott,

No, it hasn't taken place yet. Must pull my finger out. Was thinking maybe August or Sept., as I tend to go to Wales at that time.

Guys, I finally sorted a week for me to go to Pembroke to stay with my folks. Trouble is, it's at the end of October. Anyone fancy a run to Wales on the 25th/26th October, going over on the Sat am HSS to Holyhead, then down thru mid-Wales & back on the Sunday or Monday afternoon from Pembroke to Rosslare? We could do it in 2 days, but it might be more fun in 3 days. If we did 3 days we might have time to visit this http://www.conwyfeast.co.uk/ . I just wrote to the 2 relevant branches of the UK MX5OC for advice on routes.

I guess we'd need to check the weather a coupla days before to see whether it's worth it.

Anyone interested? Maybe our indian summer will have arrived by then...
