Have alook at this thread on nutz...........i'd like one of these retro curve high gear shifts.........questions tho' id would it be hard to fit?

Anyone know?

nah! if its anything like the standard one, just undo the bolts for the gaitor and it just drops in......

undo four bolts to remove this cover

undo another three to remove this one

very handy.....ye might need to change boots anyway

Yeah, got it done - it was just a screw on one to the original gear stick.........nice real racey feel to the gear shift now, hand is now nice an close to the steering wheel for those quick shifts.
The Shift Extenter was $20 from Bill @ Miata Roadster. I got a 8 ball knob too of ebay so all in all, its fun! :lol:

Now, i 'd like a new longer leather gaiter to come up over the nut on the shifter.....anyone know where i can get one long enough?

You'd probably find a suitable one in a Fiesta or a Yaris or similar.. big long gear levers on those too ...
