Hi ladies/gentlemen, I have the NCT on the 11/11/08
I know I have to remove the rear reflectors form the car.
BUT I have a question, my passenger window motor "died" and the window is stuck closed. Is this an NCT failure?
http://www.ncts.ie/nctmanual.pdf Page 22
I've looked it up online, anyone else able to help me out?
Thanks.

The drivers is defiantly a fail but nothing stated about the passenger one so i guess not.

I'd say its gonna depend on the vigilance of the tester.
Try leaving the hood and the windows down for the test........i left the top down on mine the other week and the testers loved it as did all the other testers! Not often they get to test a opentop roadster during their boring day of hatchbacks and suv euroboxes!

One of the guys in the Galway NCT centre has a '5 himself.. as does his son.. he tested mine last time (think I'm due for it again next month myself).
Think his name is Joe.

Problem is, if he lets the window down.,...............................it won't go back up!! So I'd be pretty soaked going home

Yep all set for Isle of Man! Was pleasantly surprised it got through! Just scraped through the hand break test thingy!! My mechanic said two back springs weren't great, and wasn't sure if it would make it through! He just oiled the window, kinda helped! Looking at getting a new air filter now, see if I can get me a few more horses
