IOM is 7 miles by 33miles, it's just too small for a driving trip.
and it would not cost much more to go the bit further to germany.
also i was in the IOM when i was younger, it's like going to bray for the day.

It just does nothing for me.

I would even perfer scotland

[quote="Ivan"]it would not cost much more to go the bit further to germany.

Not really ....if you go from the uk mainland to Hull - Zeebrugge as it means you get plenty of rest, and the fact it cuts 250 miles off the journey to Nurburg, you'll pay £170 sterling, including breakfast on that ferry.
With Petrol - you'll average little more than 30MPG on the autobahns/uk motorways tbh, so it cost you maybe €200 + in fuel for the entire trip. Laps are 21 euros each at the ring. An 8 lap ticket is 135 euros, so that's costly and if you crash, they'll charge you extra and if you crash and whack the barrier, they'll charge you the repair cost of that and you'll have to fix your car
The roads around the iom are free and have no speed limit.
At the Ringhaus hotel, which is around €40- €50 a night for the smaller rooms.

It does cost a lot more to haul yourself over to germany to be fair -
howver, I'd like to do it anyways. :P
But i do think the craic will be mega on this run to the iom, nevermind anything else.

Yeah i know it will be good fun on the IOM, because of you lot.
But i will have limited time and money next year for trips so i would
just rather go to the ring. The IOM is just to short / close for a driving hoilday.

Boats to the ring cost me the last time 360euro return and good hotels are
80euro a night.

I don't think i'll be able to go, i know i'll miss out but thats the way it is.
