cigarette lighter broken

Postby fabfiveferg » Tue, 13 May 2008 4:18 +0000

there appears to be no power coming from the ciggie lighter pod. I have tried changing the fuses but to no avail.

Anyone any ideas for a plan B cause I'm stumped.

Thanks lads. I'm flippin useless when it comes to the electrics.

I'll check for a line fuse later. Hopefully it's as simple as that

Is there a fuse in your sat nav cig lighter adapter? Have you tried any other gadget in the cig lighter socket?

Best to get a multimeter on the wires at the back of the lighter socket to see if you are getting power.

The connections / element on my cig lighter were all corroded & crap which was causing mine to fail... but I guess you'd have seen that, Ferg?
